7 Spiritual Health Killers

Is your spiritual life flat - like a flat tire? Do you feel hopeless, hurt and lost? Do you wish you felt inspired, purposeful and alive?

Your tire may be flat because 1 or more of the following 7 spiritual health killers broke your tire tube:

1. AN UNCLEAR PURPOSE
I have laboured to no purpose; I have spent my strenght in vain and for nothing. Isaiah 49:4 (NIV)

SOLUTION: Develop a Clear Purpose. You are born with a purpose. Ask yourself: "What is God's plan for my life?" Surrender your plans, ideas and wishes to Him and ask Him to show you His plan. He will. Listen to your inner voice (your gut, feelings, spirit). Your inner voice will give you the answer, not your outer voice.

2. AN UNEMPLOYED TALENT
Each one should live his life with the gifts that the Lord has given him ... 1 Corinthians 7:17 (Ph)

SOLUTION: Employ all your talents. Put all your talents to work. Live in your talents - gifts/strengths, not in you weaknesses.

3. AN UNBALANCED SCHEDULE
Take the time and the trouble to keep yourself spiritually fit. 1 Timothy 4:7b (Ph)

SOLUTION: Create a balanced life style. Make sure that your input/receiving and output/giving is balanced. Keep your spiritual, emotional, intellectual and physical batteries fully charged.

4. AN UNCONFESSED SIN
My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear...I am bowed down and brought low. Psalm 38:4&6 (NIV)

SOLUTION: If you did something wrong, clean it up as fast as possible. Keep your inner body clean. Apply the "Forgiveness Detergent" - it comes with a 100% guarantee.

(The 7 points are taken from the "Unstoppable Force Series" by Brian Childs & Pam Moss). Some of the information has been changed.

5. AN UNRESOLVED CONFLICT
Resentment destroys the fool, and jealousy kills the simple Job 5:2 (NLT) You are only hurting yourself with your anger. Job 18:4 (GN)

SOLUTION: Resolve all your conflicts. Work at one conflict/project at one time. Ask for help whenever required. Make sure to complete all your projects.

6. AN UNSUPPORTED LIFESTYLE
Two are better than one, because...if one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NIV)

SOLUTION: Develop a support system. Start by developing a circle of friends.

7. AN UNDERNOURISHED SPIRIT
Let your roots grow down into Him and draw up nourishment from Him. See that you go on growing in the Lord, and become strong and vigorous... Colossians 2:6-7 (LB)

SOLUTION: Create and follow a healthy spiritual diet plan. Only healthy spiritual food/fuel will keep your spirit or spiritual body/battery vibrant, energized and inspired.
